We, at SpaceIL the operator of the Space Ed website, located at: space-ed.org (“Website”) and the Patrick and Linda Drahi Foundation, the owner of the Website (together with SpaceIL in this policy - “we”, “us” or “our”) respect your privacy and put great efforts in securing Personal Data and in processing it lawfully. We provide you when you visit our Website (“Website Visitor” or “you”) the opportunity to learn and explore with recorded lesson plans that we developed on the subjects of: physics, the solar system, space (the “Service”).

This Privacy Policy (“policy”) explains our privacy practices for processing Personal Data related to you (“Personal Data"). The term Personal Data refers to data that identifies an individual or relates to an identifiable individual. For example, Personal Data includes personal details such as your name, email address and telephone number, and other contact details which you submit to us or what we collect.

As a Website Visitor, we receive and store any data you enter on our Service or give us in any other way. When you contact us or register our Service, we receive any data you provide us, for example:

  • When you register to the Service you provide us your Name, email address, your position as: Educator, Student or Parent.

Categories of Personal Data That We Collect

We will collect, including by using third parties' web analytics, usage data about the time, type, and manner of use of the Service. This data may include, inter alia, parameters which are automatically provided by your browser, such as Internet Protocol (IP) address, your browser’s type and version, your device type and your used language.

Other examples of usage data that we collect are your activity events, non-personal usage statistics (e.g., time of usages, number of clicks on each link, etc.), crash reports, data regarding your browsing history and web activities, and other data regarding the use of the Service.

Children

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 18 years old without verifiable parental consent. If you are under 18 years old, you may register on our website only after we receive a written confirmation from your parents or your legal guardian. When you register to the Service you provide Personal Data like your: Name, email address, position as: Educator, Student or Parent. If we learn that we have collected any personal data from a child without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it from our database as quickly as possible. These are the following the rights:

  • You can request a copy of the Personal Data and associated data, in a standard available format, so that you could use it and transfer it to others, and you can further request to correct or delete inaccurate Personal Data or complete incomplete Personal Data.

We will respond timely to your request.

Note that when you send us a request to exercise your rights, we will need to reasonably authenticate your identity and location. We will ask you to provide us credentials to make sure that you are who you claim to be and will further ask you questions to understand the nature and scope of your request.

We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will inform you of the reasons for such decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request.

Personal Data Retention

We retain different types of Personal Data related to you for different periods, depending on the purposes for processing the data, our legitimate business purposes, and pursuant to legal requirements under applicable law.

We will maintain your contact details, to help us stay in contact with you.

We will retain personal data related to you after you have terminated your use of the Services, if retention is reasonably necessary to resolve disputes between our users, to prevent fraud and abuse or if we are otherwise required by law.

We will keep aggregated non-identifiable information without limitation, and to the extent reasonable we will delete or de-identify potentially identifiable information, when we no longer need to process the information.

We use anonymous, statistical, or aggregated data and will share it with our partners for legitimate business purposes. It has no effect on your privacy, because there is no reasonable way to extract data from that data that we or others can associate specifically with you.

We are committed to ensuring the security of Personal Data. We and our hosting Service implement systems, applications, and procedures to secure Personal Data, to minimize the risks of theft, damage, loss of data, or unauthorized access or use of data. These measures are designed to provide a sound level of industry standard security.

From time to time, we will update this policy. If the updates have minor if any consequences, they will take effect 14 days after we post a notice on the Service. Substantial changes will be effective 30 days after we initially posted the notice. However, if we need to adapt the policy to legal requirements, the new policy will become effective immediately or as required by law.
